Prof. Dr. Renate Dendorfer-Ditges initiated a panel discussion at the annual conference of the International Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA) in Washington D.C. in May 2024, in which experts discussed the importance of human rights in mediation.<\/p>\n

In addition to the initiator, Ms. Jaya Sharma, mediator and arbitrator from Madison, Wisconsin, and Ms. Katarina M\u00e5nsson, Senior Human Rights Officer at the Office of Secretary General of the United Nations, as well as Guiseppe De Palo, international mediator and President of the Dialogue Through Conflict Foundation, took part in the panel discussion. Prof. Dr. Dendorfer-Ditges focused on the relevance of human rights in the business context, exemplified by the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and the Whistleblowing Directive, as well as the discussion in Germany on the development of inclusive grievance systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
